After running some amazing free BlogCamp events in 2011, we’ve decided that in 2012 BlogCamp is going to get (a little) bigger and (even) better. But it will still be free – and there will still be cake. Obviously.
Following the success of our first BlogCamp UK event in Birmingham on April 21, we will be hosting two more BlogCamp events in the coming months – in London and Manchester.
More details as soon as they are available.
What’s on the agenda?
BlogCamp focuses on informal, relaxed discussion and practical advice, and we’ve lined up some really smart, inspiring speakers for this event. Details of our speakers can be found here. Sessions at BlogCampUK in Birmingham will include:
Basic and advanced SEO techniques

How to be a snark (and get away with it)

Using your blog to develop e-courses and online workshops
Lots of bloggers have specialist knowledge and valuable content – but aren’t sure what to do with it. In this session, we’ll be talking about developing online workshops, tutorials and e-courses, with insight from a blogger who makes a living selling her workshops to women all over the world
How to write reviews without selling out
Writing reviews is a hugely popular activity for many bloggers, but have you ever worried that your reviews might be a little bit – well – boring? In this session we’ll be looking at how to add personality to posts about products, and ways to work with brands to create content that will excite and entertain your readers
Sleeping over?
We will be organising some informal drinks at the end of the day, for everyone attending BlogCampUK. If you don’t want to miss the fun, why not stay overnight? We’ve teamed up with the lovely folks at the 4* Radisson Blu in Birmingham to offer a special rate to BlogCamp guests. Once you have a ticket, you’ll be able to book a bed and breakfast room at the hotel for just £65 (one person) or £95 (two people sharing). The Radisson Blu has free WiFi (of course) and is just a 5 minute walk from the event venue, and Birmingham New St station, making it a perfect location.
